Researched, organised, and project managed the DfE Energy Efficiency Fund on Energy Audit, Solar Panels, all lights LED, Endotherm for Gas and Measurable Energy Sockets.

Embedded Energy Sparks into the curriculum, reducing energy consumption by 12%, then 20% the following year.

Nature Premium Trial for DfE, Nature Journalling with Year 1 identifying native wildflowers and trees in school grounds and the community.

Project Managed Rewilding of a community area including a Nature Information board created with 90 children over 2 years, with sponsorship and graphic designer support from People Need Nature and CPRE.

Project Managed 450 children participating in Dorset Arts Fortnight, each year group showcasing artwork related to patterns in nature. Funded through grants and business donations.

Project Managed 450 children taking part in a local art exhibition based on the book ‘It’s Up to Us’ by Christopher Lloyd.

Ran community recycling schemes for printer cartridges, crisp packets, biscuit and confectionery wrappers, toothpaste tubes and toothbrushes.

Embedded eco work across the curriculum and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Each class made a termly pledge to help people, the environment, and animals, then presented and evaluated it in assembly. The most impactful class won a related talk or workshop.

Mentored schools in Dorset to achieve Eco Schools Green Flag as part of an initiative by Dorset Council.

Project Managed the “Refill Poundbury” campaign, signing up over 50 businesses. Link | Link

Designed and managed an outdoor area with two gardens, bird hide, pond, chickens, orchard, plastic bottle greenhouse, and forest school space.

Created a school garden run by volunteers that involves all children. All food waste is composted using a Ridan Composter. Link

Achieved Surfers Against Sewage Plastic Free School status (May 2018).

Managed Dorchester’s transition to a Plastic Free Community (July 2019), with children signing up over 90 businesses to remove single-use plastics.

Organised a community picnic in Borough Gardens with Dorchester Town Council including a junk band, stalls, and guest speakers.

Won the National Young Enterprise Fiver Challenge three years in a row, raising over £7,000 with eco products.

Empowering children in my class to take action on climate change in school and the community through enquiry-based learning. Children have looked at Waste and came up with their own 8Rs Waste Hierarchy for local school and the community.

Collaborating with Tarum with children making our own natural dyes and paints from what they found in the school grounds.

Project Managed Collaboration with Crafting Coral to make propagators to regenerate corals in Bali waters.

Working across the Primary Grades to support planning, thematic enquiry questions by connecting Grades with people in the community to enhance the experience in the classroom.

Set up Manna Organic Fertilizer (used on UNESCO Rice Fields) partnership with Green School Rice Fields with Grade 3 classes.

Implemented Spark Tuesday where we invite organisations, businesses, charities from around Bali to share their work related to the environment that might spark an interest or idea with the children.

Project Managed Flip flop artwork with 300 children across Primary making a portrait of Dr Jane Goodall with Plastic Angels charity to raise money for a ship container classroom and garden. Part of Jane Goodall Roots & Shoots Programme.
